Questions and Communication Update

We are excited to announce a new member of our TCY team! Lauren McQuillan is a TCYRC alum (and summer coach!), and she will be assisting with club communication and administration. If parents, families, or athletes have general questions about anything TCY-related (e.g., registration, Regatta Central questions, practices, upcoming sessions, etc.), please reach out to Lauren at lmcquillan@tcyrc.org

Spring Regattas - Save the Date!

We are still finalizing our spring regattas. However, one regatta we know we will be traveling to is the Midwest Junior Rowing Championship, which is our most important regatta of the year. Travel information will be shared later this winter, but we wanted to share preliminary information now so you can save the dates on your calendar.

Midwest Junior Rowing Championship

  • What type of race: Sprint regatta - 1,000 meters

  • When: Racing is on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 (team will arrive 1-2 days before the regatta starts)

  • Where: East Fork State Park, Bethel, Ohio (about 30 minutes outside of Cincinnati, OH)

  • How: The team will share flight information of the coaches and chaperones, and families can book those flights or can book other flights if parents will be traveling with their athlete. Families are also welcome to drive to Ohio.

  • Why is this race important? Boats who place at the top for their events can qualify for nationals, which will take place in Sarasota, Florida in June. Last year TCY had several boats race in finals, and we sent a boat to nationals for the first time in several years. We hope to repeat this year!
